My Buddy Al

The three of us and Max's buddy, Al, checked out El Pilar. In all fairness to Al, he is a really good friend of ours down here and he seems to enjoy playing with Max.

We stopped off for lunch on the way so Max and Al could play on the playground.

El Pilar is a Mayan ruin outside of San Ignacio. I have to admit that the jungle trails were more fun than the ruin, which is still under active excavation. The excavation team left just before we got there so all the cement was still wet and the tools were still out.
