Xunantunich and a Flash Flood

Jim and Vanessa won the Awesomest People Who Don't Suck Award as they were our first non-family guests. First up on the whirlwind tour of Belize was Xuanantunich. This was our second time visiting but we were able to discover things that we didn't see the first time.

The long climb up.

Max and Daddy spent the afternoon sleeping here. Max got some sunscreen and bugspray in his eyes. He wasn't so happy with us.

We stopped off for lunch in San Ignacio and rain was starting to fall. A quick detour to Spanish Lookout for Ice Cream proved to almost be too much as we barely made it home due to the flash flooding. It was a tense drive and when we got back to our street, we could barely make it into the driveway. Kev walked in first to test the depth/current. Water was up to his knees. We did get the car into the lake, I mean driveway.

After playing in the rain, we put Max in some long pants and sleeves to try to warm him up.

Meanwhile, we started and killed bottle #1 of Grey Goose to shake the tension from the drive out of our bones.
