As most of you know, there is a bit of Packers/Bears rivalry in this household and unfortunately Max gets caught in the middle of it most of the time. Despite having way more Packers clothes, early in the season he was most frequently wearing his Bears shirt. Being the diplomat, he would usually change his shirt half way through the game to the Packers. We let him make his own decisions regarding which team to support but after that last playoff game, he was clearly right in the head and was 100% on the Packers bandwagon.
Given that we still do not have tv and our go-to football watch friend, Al, was out of the country, we were forced to scramble to find someone to watch the game with that met all the criteria. Clearly a tv and cable were needed. Next up, we had to watch with someone who actually cares about football and not just the ads. This point knocked out most of our friends. And finally, it had to be someone who would be cheering for the Packers. Our friends, Jack and Kira, stepped up and let us spend Superbowl Sunday evening at their house. It was lots of fun - even though I was a bit nervous throughout that game. Now Max asks to wear his Superbowl shirt - which he doesn't have - but then he falls back on the good ol' Packers shirts. Bears who?
