The Belize Zoo is a really great zoo to see animals that are indigenous to Belize. The zoo was hammered by the hurricane in October so this was our first trip back since it reopened. It was amazing to see how different the zoo was in terms of new walkways and cages, all the trees down, and all the devastation that is still there. It is miraculous that none of the animals were killed or lost during the hurricane.
Looking for turt-turts (turtles, in non-Max speak).
