There are plenty of Mayan ruins all within a days drive of BMP. Cahal Pech is located in San Ignacio. It is a ruin that often gets overlooked but we think it is absolutely fabulous. It is different from all other ruins that we've seen in that it gives a great feel for what the inside of buildings were constructed like with all the passageways and small rooms.
