A Weekend Visit from Grandma Peg

Grandma Peg just left after visiting for a long weekend. Of course, Max was extremely well behaved and not the crying baby Kevin and I have had for the previous few days. We took advantage of our babysitter and headed out to lunch within 15 minutes of Grandma Peg getting here. It was a nice break from the baby but since Kevin and I have spent the last 2 weeks together, we didn't really have much to talk about.

There was a bit of excitement in the afternoon as the building around the corner was on fire with plenty of flames and smoke for us to watch. Good thing we parked Grandma's car in the parking garage as I would have parked her car right outside the burning building.

That night the social calendar continued with poker at Jim and Bill's. Max made his debut but then went back upstairs with Grandma.

Saturday brought more away time from the little guy. Kevin and I ran some errands for a few hours. Grandma Peg and I also took Max for his first walk in a stroller. It was on the chilly side but the sun was shining and we bundled Max up in his snowsuit and wool hat.

Dad got a little more time away when Matt stopped by and they went out for a couple hours.

Today brought the departure of Grandma but before she left, we finished up the toy bag she made and hung it on the wall in Max's room. All the toys fit and now we can put Max in his crib for naps instead of holding him all the time, putting him in the cradle, or putting him in his car seat. He seems to really like the mobile on the crib but the song it plays is just too short!

This weekend Max also sported the outfit Grandpa Ric picked out for him from Cabela's. Max is getting his gear ready to go deer hunting with Grandpa already.
